Principal / Senior Project Manager
Dan brings over 30 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering, land development, and consulting. Throughout his career, he has designed, engineered, and managed a wide range of projects, from infrastructure improvements to municipal and transportation developments.
A North Idaho native, Dan returned to the area in 2008 after working extensively in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. He co-founded D2G INC, now operating as 7B Engineering, to provide high-quality engineering solutions tailored to the Inland Northwest. Previously, he was the Principal Engineer and co-owner of Sterling Design, Inc., a firm still in operation in Vancouver, Washington.
Dan holds a B.S. in Engineering from Walla Walla University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Idaho and Washington. His commitment to excellence, efficiency, and client satisfaction drives the work of 7B Engineering.

Materials Engineer
Ian specializes in civil and materials engineering, bringing a strong background in fieldwork, research, and heavy construction. He earned his Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Idaho, where he gained hands-on experience in materials processing, corrosion research, and structural testing.
Before joining 7B Engineering, Ian worked as a general contractor in heavy construction, gaining valuable insight into real-world engineering applications. His expertise in materials testing, water systems, and infrastructure design contributes to the firm’s ability to deliver durable and sustainable engineering solutions.

Project Manager
David is a licensed Professional Engineer in Idaho with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University, Sacramento. With over a decade of experience in engineering consulting, he specializes in water and wastewater infrastructure, hydraulic modeling, and floodplain analysis.
His background includes extensive work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, aerial and ground surveys, drainage studies, and FEMA compliance projects. David has also conducted hydrologic and hydraulic studies for bridge replacements, reservoir failure simulations, and large-scale floodplain mapping. His technical expertise ensures precision and efficiency in every project.

Planning Manager
Travis specializes in land use planning and rural development, with experience in both the public and private sectors. He previously worked as a planner at a surveying firm and served as Assistant Director of Bonner County Planning, assisting with land divisions, permits, subdivisions, and planned unit developments.
He also has a background in geotechnical engineering, including slope stability and retaining wall design, gained from his work as a mine engineer in Juneau, Alaska.
Travis holds a B.S. in Geology from California State University, Chico, and has completed graduate coursework in Geological Engineering at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. He is currently pursuing certification through the American Institute of Certified Planners.
He helps private clients and public entities navigate land use applications and regulatory processes to ensure successful project outcomes.
Associate Planner
Kathryn Keeney is an Associate Planner with 7B Engineering, bringing experience in both private consulting and municipal planning. Prior to joining 7B Engineering, Kathryn worked at Glahe & Associates, where she gained experience in land surveying, land use planning, and development projects throughout North Idaho. She later served as an Assistant Land Use Planner for the City of Sandpoint, working closely with applicants, consultants, local agencies, and elected officials to guide development projects through the review process while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Her experience on both the public and private sides of the development process give her a well-rounded perspective and allows her to help clients navigate projects from concept through approval.
As a third-generation North Idaho resident, Kathryn has deep roots in the community and is passionate about helping shape its future. She enjoys building relationships with clients and community members and takes pride in contributing to projects that support thoughtful growth while preserving the character of the region she is proud to call home.
